RUTH FOSHEE RAY, age 91, of Winchester, Tenn. departed this life
on Sat. Dec. 31, 2011 at Laurel Oaks Retirement Home in Winchester
following an extended illness. Ms. Ray was born in Stevenson,
Ala. to the late Andrew and Anne Foshee. She was employed for
many years at Shaw Industries as a Lab Technician. Ms. Ray
was a member of the New Center Grove Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Ray and a
brother, Andrew Foshee, Jr. She is survived by her daughter,
Roma Deal of Belvidere, Tenn., Granddaughter, Dena George of
Murfreesboro, Grandson, Tracy Steele of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.,
Step-grandson, Hasty (Danielle) Deal of Lynchburg,
great-grandchildren; Lindsey Tate and Dylan Simon both of
Murfreesboro, great-great-granddaughter, Marliana Tate, sisters;
Minnie Dent, Margaret Steele and Ola Mae Morris all of Winchester
and Ruby Chitwood of Kissimmee, Fla.
Visitation for Ms. Ray will be from 12:00-3:00 Wed. Jan. 4, 2012
with services beginning at 3:00 P.M. with Bro. Byrom Lawrence
officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial
Gardens. Winchester, Tenn.
