ROBERT LEE "BOB" AKERS, age 93, of Golden Living Center in
Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, December 03,
2011. Mr. Akers was born in Cordova, Ala. to the late Charles
and Rilla Akers. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr.
Akers worked for many years in the coal mines just as his father
did before him.
Mr. Akers was preceded in death by his wife, Mursey Riddle
Akers. He is survived by his brother, Alfred Akers of Walker
County, Ala., step-children; James (Brenda) Riddle, Dean
(Burma) Riddle of Tullahoma, Tenn. Howard (Peggy) Riddle, Sandra
(Rick) Mott of Winchester, Dale (Debbie) Riddle, Richard (Dena)
Riddle, Terry (Melissa) Riddle Lillie Morgan and Velma (Buddy) Bell
all of Lynchburg.
Visitation for Mr. Riddle will be held from 5:00-9:00 P.M.
Monday evening in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday evening with
Bro. Howard Riddle, officiating. Interment will follow in the
Highland Ridge Cemetery in Winchester.
