ADAMS,  Joseph "Joe" David, age 54, of Estill Springs, passed away quietly at his residence on

Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 following an extended illness.  Mr. Adams was a member of the

Decherd First United Methodist Church.  He was a self-employed commercial and residential

painter.  He loved riding his Harley, and was a very talented artist.  He did a lot of paintings

for people in his free time.  He was preceded in death by his Father, Alfred McCain, Daughter,

JoAnn Adams and Sister, Charlotte Scott. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Adams of Estill

Springs, Mother, Mary Ann Tankersley of Decherd, Great-Aunt, Lillian Finchum of Golden

Living Center of Winchester. Son, Ben Adams of Manchester.  Daughters; Charity (Glenn)

Warner of Nashville, and Beth (Ben) Rankin of Rock Vale, TN.  3-Step-Sons; Wade Hill,

Jamie (Elise) Hill and Chad (Jacqueline) Hill. Sister, Debbie (Arthur) Payne of Birmingham,

AL.  9-Grandchildren; Hunter, Ethan, Jessica, Zachary, Paige, Emily, Olivia, Anika and Ayden.

Services for Mr. Adams are 4:00 PM Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at Grant Funeral Services Chapel

with Bro. Bob Smith, officiating.  Interment will be in the Hill Cemetery in Decherd.
