Holmes, Hazel S., age 77, of Tullahoma, passed away quietly at her residence,

surrounded by her loving family and friends on Sunday, July 26, 2009.  Ms.

Holmes was Catholic last attending St. Paul's Catholic Church in Tullahoma.

She was in nursing for over thirty-two years.  She previously lived in California

and worked at two area hospitals there but was more recently employed at different

times at Harton Regional Medical Center, Coffee County Hospital and Lynchburg

Nursing Center after returning to Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her

daughter, Lois Blassingame.  She leaves to cherish her memory, Father, Tennyson

(Rival) Holmes, Sr. of Tullahoma. Daughters; Lynette Coleman also of Tullahoma,

Sally Walker of Cleveland, OH Sons; Michael Holmes of Estill Springs, Edward Holmes

of Cleveland, OH and Hank Thurston of Tullahoma.  Sisters; Donna Hamilton of Tullahoma,

Margaret Holmes, Madge Barrett and Alice Rowe all of Cleveland, OH and Grace McGee of

Harbor City, CA.  Brothers; Tennyson Holmes, Jr. of Tullahoma and Ernest Holmes of Chicago,

IL. 13 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Holmes is

scheduled for 1:00 Fri., July 31, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Tullahoma.
