Doris Kozlowski, age 95, of Estill Springs, passed away quietly on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009,
at Harton Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Kozlowski is a native of Texas. She was married
to her late husband, John in 1945 in Las Cruz, NM. After their marriage they moved to
City Point, Wisconsin where they were tavern owners most of their married life. Mrs. Doris
was an avid sports fan. Her favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. Her favorite Nascar driver
was Jeff Gordon. She was a 58 year active member of the American Legion Auxillary in Pittsville,
Wisconsin. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (John) De Long of Estill Springs. Grandson,
Douglas (Clarissa) De Long of Murfreesboro, TN. Granddaughter, Dawn (Cory) Spry also of
Murfreesboro, TN. Great-grandchildren; Isabella, Jensen, Madeline, Aaron, and Zach. Services
for Mrs. Doris are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009. Visitation with the family
will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers the
family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association. It was Mrs. Doris’ request
to be cremated. There will be no interment.
