Location:Nashville, TennesseeMy family and I only got to know Annie over the past 2-3 years, but it seemed like we'd known her forever. Annie especially befriended my mother, Evelyn Hill of Elora, Tennessee, now age 85, by calling her "grandma," which was so endearing. Annie visited mother in rehabilitation after she had a stroke in August of this year, bringing her food and flowers. Annie was also our family's special guest at my parent's 60th wedding anniversary dinner, in 2008. Annie was a unique person, and mother often referred to her as "bright-Annie." She will be sorely missed, but the light she radiated so generously to others still reflects around our community, and the world.

God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "Come to me".
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
For you are there with Him.
May you take comfort in knowing an angel is watching over you. Words cannot even begin to express my sorrow. My prayers are with you and your family.

Location:WinchesterDear Hopper Family,
I am very sadden by the news of Mrs. Annie. I thought the world of her and you could tell that anyone who knew her felt the same way. She was loved and will be greatly missed and i don't believe anyone will do as good of a job with flowers as she did. I have known her for years due to my brother Michael Loyd who she thought the world of and last year I had the opportunity to work with her at Kroger. She was always giving me flowers that she didn't have a need for anymore and i was always grateful and she was always giving me advice of how to take care of them. I had the opportunity to go see her today one last time and she looked beautiful.

Location:SewaneeDear Mr. Hopper, family, and friends of Annie,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for your loss of such a dear person. I only knew her slightly from talking with her in the floral department at Kroger whenever I was there during her shift. Until I received the Herald Chronicle in the mail today, I knew nothing about her illness and passing on. For several months, I thought I was getting to the store too late to see her. Every time I saw Annie, I was lifted up by her beautiful smile and cheerful conversation. She radiated kindness and caring for others. I can only imagine how terribly you will miss her.
My husband and I are members of St. Mary's Convent (Episcopal) Church. I will write Annie's name in our prayer request book, asking the sisters of St. Mary to pray for her soul to rest in peace and for all of you in her family to find comfort as you grieve for her.
Sincerely,
Kathy Hamman
