Charles Edward “Buddy” Bass, age 74, of Decherd, passed away quietly at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 12, 2010 following a battle with cancer. Mr. Bass was employed as a station agent with the Railroad for twenty years. He was of the Church of Christ faith, an Army veteran and a member of the Decherd Masonic Lodge #567 where he served as Worshipful Master on two different occasions.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Bass of Decherd, Sons; Ron Bass of Chatsworth, GA, Glenn (Phyllis) Bass of Crandall, GA and Roger Bass of Winchester, TN. Sisters; Bettye (Otis) Floyd of Lynchburg and Lois (George) Floyd of Decherd. 6-Grandchildren and 2-Great-Grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Bass are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Ed Boggess officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastern Star Cemetery in Sewanee.
