KNIGHT, Albert Van Harlenden, age 82, of Estill Springs, departed this life

suddenly on Wed. Aug. 26, 2009 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma.

He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Shelbyville.  He was retired and

last worked for Jim Franklin Chevrolet in Winchester as an Auto Body Mechanic

an occupation he enjoyed for over 30 years.  Mr. Knight was a Navy Veteran.   He

loved flying and was a licensed pilot. Mr. Knight owned a Cessna airplane that

he built himself. He was an avid cook and loved growing his own vegetable

garden. He is survived by his son, William Knight of Dickson, TN. Daughters;

Bobbie Darlene Slate of Clarksville, TN, Anne (Mark) Bojneiwicz of Dickson,

TN, Sandi (Jack) Quinif of Ohio, and Judi Knight of Burns, TN.  12-Grandchildren

and 33-Great-Grandchildren.  Special Friends, Bro. Scott and wife Sonya Hogue

of Estill Springs.  Services for Mr. Knight are at 2:00 PM Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009

with visitation from 10:00 A.M until service time Saturday, with Bro. Scott Hogue

officiating.   Military honors will be given in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.

    MY NAME IS GLADYS PARKS. MY DAUGHTER AMY AND I SHOPPED FOR ALBERT. WE WERE SAD TO KNOW HE HAD PASSED.WE WENT BY THE HOUSE TO SEE THE GARDEN HAD GROWN UP. WE KNEW HE MUST BE SICK.WE DIDNT KNOW TILL MAMA READ IT IN THE PAPER. WE WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE.I MOVED TO OHIO FOR A WHILE THE LAST TIME HE CALLED ME FOR A HAIR CUT I WAS THERE. I CALLED AND ASKED MY FRIEND TO GO BUT SHE NEVER DID. I HOPE HE KNEW I DID WHAT I SAID I WOULD.HE WAS A NICE MAN. HE WILL BE MISSED.GLADYS AND AMY PARKS
