VAUGHN, Donald R., age 69, of Huntland, passed away suddenly at SouthernTN Medical Center on Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Mr. Vaughn was employed by the Southern TN EMT Ambulance Service as an EMT for many years before his retirement. Mr. Vaughn was an avid gun collector all of his life. After retirement he worked rebuilding wood parts for guns. Mr. Vaughn loved life and laughter. He was a member of the Donaldson Grove Baptist Church in Huntland. Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents; A.B. and Daisy Vaughn. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Portia Dodson Vaughn of Huntland and Son, Russ Vaughn of Tullahoma. Graveside Services for Mr. Vaughn are at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 10, 2009, at the Vaughn Cemetery on Mr. Vaughn's family farm. Officiating is Bro. Keith Wilson. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Franklin County Animal Harbor.
